After many years apart we find ourselves returning to an old favourite. Kapsakisio was one of the very first Kenyan's we offered at Commonfolk so we decided that there's no time like the present to rekindle the flame. Kapsakisio lies on the Kenyan side of Mt Elgon opposite our Ugandan partners Zukuka Bora. A similar temperate microclimate, fertile volcanic soil and high altitude leads to equally complex and exciting coffees. The 2019/20 harvest is no exception producing a coffee of exquisite complexity and clarity. Distinct notes of blackcurrant and lavender aroma are followed by a bright sparkling cherry acidity.
