Well that was the longest bloody winter in history! It feels like an age since we’ve seen Commonfolk filled to the brim with friends drinking coffee, eating brunch and telling us to turn down the music. We sure miss all your pretty faces and can’t wait until we can welcome you back to our old tin shed on Progress St. Fingers crossed this is the home stretch. Our spring seasonal blend is and ode to our incredible health workers, those working from home, the homeschoolers, the keepers, the seekers, the new business venturers, the learners, the self improvers, the sourdough bakers, the babysitters, the delivery drivers and anyone else out there making the best of what they’re dealt. Until we can see you again, brew yourself some home stretch, mask up and go for an iso walk along the beach. We’re getting luscious notes of peach iced tea, freshly baked croissant and just enough hope to see you through to the other side! Janis House is one of our all time favourites. A long time Folker, banter queen and an incredible award winning photographer. Janis has been hit pretty hard by the lockdown. No more weddings, no more events, no one begging for a photoshoot of them in their covid loungewear. Instead Janis is now a headmaster, she’s her daughter Lily’s teacher, she’s an ‘award winning’ chef who also does the dishes, she is whatever 2020 needs her to be. She is a superstar and we can’t wait to welcome her back next door to The Nook or taking snaps at a Commonfolk wedding. Follow Janis on Instagram @janisalwayshashercamera or send her an enquiry or buy a print at www.janishousephotography.com
This is just a starting place. We encourage experimenting and breaking the rules.
