Sun God [2021]
“Why is the sky blue? Why is water wet?” Why do we love all the Nicaraguan coffees we get? We found another from a small tight knit group of 15 farmers in Dipilto. Sun God, a washed Nicaraguan coffee we fell in love with immediately on the cupping table. An incredible naturally biodiverse region called La Cordilera on the border of Honduras and at the foot of Nicaragua's highest peak, Cerro Mototon. These select farmers live in a stunning location, but also it provides the vital source of fresh water from the 2106 metre peak above them. We have enjoyed the fruit of Caravela’s work in Nicaragua previously with one of our favourites, La Estrella. This coffee is processed in the facility in Ocotal and shares the same great benefits of the experienced team working to make this coffee delicious. “Anything worth having is hard to keep, I love you like my coffee, so hot and so sweet.” Sweet like chocolate and refreshing like a juicy grapefruit, with the subtle spice of cinnamon. Thanks to our mates from Caravela for sourcing this banger. “Super-cali-fragalistic-expiali-docious, Docious-ali-expi-fragalistic-DELI-CIOUS.
