When it comes to Commonfolk's favourite coffee growing regions it's hard for us to go past Guatemala's Huehuetenango. Famous for producing some of the most complex and high-quality coffees in Guatemala, Huehuetenango is ground zero for one of our newest producer partnerships. Waykan [meaning star that shines in the sky at night] is a regional harvest from a collection of small farmers in the municipalities of Chajul, Quiche, Cotzal and Nebaj. We love this coffee for its floral aroma, tart acidity and notes of tangy lemon, toffee and cascara.
