Hola Amigo! We are stoked to share this beautiful Guatemalan coffee with you from the San Marcos region. Perched on the side of a volcano it is wet but also hot here, creating a perfect microclimate for coffee trees to flourish and produce juicy ripe fruit. Not to mention the elevation and volcanic soil contributing to nutrients and slow ripening, these are all the indicators of high quality coffee. This coffee is from a collection of 200+ farmers who banded together to achieve a higher price for their coffee. After the coffee is pricked it is pulped and fermented in tank for 24 hours before being transferred to sunny patios for drying.
