"Time To Fly"
Murnong, Murrnong, Mirrnong - Yam Daisy
Hillsides were once described as glowing golden in a sea of yellow murnong daisies. A staple food, it was cultivated by the Aboriginal people of south-eastern Australia, its tubers a vital source of nutrition and delicious when roasted. The tubers are forming and fattening underground as the plant flowers through summer. Near midsummer's equinox, the plant releases its seeds to the warm winds. Grazing sheep eventually decimated murnong crops and forced Aboriginal people into competition with colonisers for resources. TIME TO FLY is a combination of two very special micro-lots. Flowers in Action is a Brazilian coffee entirely produced by women. We've paired it with a natural Ugandan from Zukuka Bora that underwent an experimental pre-fermentation prior to drying. The resulting blend has notes of burnt honey & butterscotch.
This is just a starting place. We encourage experimenting and breaking the rules.
