What do you get when you combine a South American war-trauma surgeon and a Swiss specialist nurse in Bujumbura Burundi? Some of the finest coffee to ever emerge from Ecuador, obviously! After they'd finished serving with Doctors Without Borders Henry decided to take his new wife Verena back to his home country of Ecuador and start a coffee farm and processing mill. Henry is as meticulous with his coffee as he was with his patients, having invested heavily in production methods from picking to processing and drying. Finca Maputo is home to some unique varietals, including this traditionally Kenyan SL28.
